Take this course before you buy a laser or electromagnetic therapy device.
In 2012 Healing Light Seminars will be offering a series of intimate, weekend-long seminars to certify licensed health care professionals in laser and bio-electromagnetic therapies. The course will be presented in a comfortable, clinical setting in order to provide in-depth, personal instruction for 3-5 attendees.
Our goal is to provide a thorough grounding in the theory and clinical application of energy-based therapies.
Over the three day weekend, you will learn:
- The physics of lasers, light emitting diodes (LEDs) and electromagnetic fields.
- The biological effects of laser, LED and electromagnetic therapies.
- Operation, types and classifications of devices.
- How to comply with FDA guidelines, state and professional regulations.
- Parameters of laser and LED phototherapy – wavelength, power, power density, dosage, super-pulsing vs continuous wave, coherence vs. non-coherence, treatment interval, therapeutic techniques and tips for clinical success.
- Parameters of bio-electromagnetic therapy – field strength, gradient, waveform, pulse variables – rate, duration, interval, modulation – location of exposure, vector/direction of field, treatment interval, therapeutic techniques and tips for clinical success.
- How to accurately administer treatment with a variety of types of devices (which may include Apollo, Irradia and Medical Laser Systems laser probe systems, Laserneedle-touch, a 10 channel laser needle acupuncture system, Quantum Devices WARP 10 and WARP 75 LED systems and Curatron 2000PC bioelectromagnetic therapy system) with live demonstrations, hands-on training and clinical practice.
- How to successfully integrate laser, LED and bioelectromagnetic therapies in clinical practice and attract new patients with positive results.
- How to confidently treat a wide variety of clinical conditions.
This course led by Seminar Instructor David Rindge has evolved over 9 years. You will have the opportunity to acquire hands-on, clinical experience with a broad range of devices – learn their biological effects, rationale for treatment, how to accurately administer a desired laser dosage – and how to explain what you are doing so that your patients understand. There is a certification exam at the end of the course.
