ProbeThe superpulsed 904 nm GaAs (Gallium Arsenide) laser mulitprobe is Irradia’s flagship product. With peak powers of 20 W per laser diode and an average output power of 240 mW (4 laser diodes of 60 mW each), the super-pulsed 904 GaAs multiprobe is a powerful tool for the laser therapist. Because of the high power densities caused by the high peak powers, the penetration profile of the superpulsed laser light behaves non-linearly in tissue. This non-linear behavior significantly increases the penetration depth of the GaAs laser light. It has been suggested that this laser type has the highest penetration depth of all therapeutic laser types on the market. The 904 nm superpulsed GaAs-laser is also offered as a singleprobe with an average output of 60 mW.

The Irradia GaAs-laser is unique in that its average output power is constant independent of the frequency. This steady average output also makes dosage calculation very easy It should be noted that the World Association for Laser Therapy’s recommended dosages for superpulsed 904 nm GaAs-laser diodes are approximately 1/4 to 1/3 those of continuous wave lasers. Irradia’s superpulsed, 904 nm GaAs multiprobe may significantly shorten the time for therapy while improving outcomes and is especially popular for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain.

808 nm GaAlAs-laser, 450 mW, multiprobe & singleprobe. There are several different GaAlAs (Gallium Aluminium Arsenide) probes available. The Irradia 808 nm GaAlAs multiprobe has a total output power of 1800 mW (4x450 mW), and the singleprobe has an output power of 450 mW. The 808 nm multiprobe and singleprobe can be used in both continuous and pulsed mode.

Probes808 nm GaAlAs-laser, 200 mW, singleprobe with collimator tip. This version of the 808 nm GaAlAs single probe is designed to deliver very high power density to a very small surface area (needle point).

980 nm GaAlAs-laser, 450 mW, singleprobe. In addition to the 808 nm single probe, we also carry a 980 nm, 450 mW GaAlAs single probe in the USA. The 980 nm wavelength is absorbed to a greater degree in human tissue, so treatment with this laser type may be perceived as more "direct" by the patient.
