The evaluation of exocrinous function of pancreas in patients with chronic pancreatitis.

Abstract

The article deals with studying the impact of low-intensity laser therapy on the exocrinous function of pancreas in patients with chronic pancreatitis in exacerbation stage. The sample included 49 patients aged from 36 to 69 years. They were allocated on the main (39 patients) and control (10 patients) groups. The patients from the main group received pharmaceutical treatment along with low-intensity laser therapy. The patients from control group received only pharmaceutical treatment. The study demonstrated the positive impact of comprehensive therapy with low-intensity laser therapy added on the exocrinous function of pancreas in patients with chronic pancreatitis.

Abstract

The use of intravenous laser blood irradiation and transcutaneous laserotherpy together with mini-invasive and endoscopic surgical procedures permit to avoid infection of pancreatic lesions in 67.7%. Lethality rate by sterile pancreonecrosis decreased from 24.4 to 5.1%. The complex use of laser, antioxidant and antibacterial therapy decreased the lethality rate by the infected pancreonecrosis from 42.8 to 23.1%.

Types of microcirculation and laser therapy in chronic pancreatitis

The aim of the study was to evaluate effect of low-intensity laser therapy (LILT) on systemic circulation in patients with chronic pancreatitis (CP) in the phase of exacerbation. 65 patients aged 36-77 years were divided into study (n = 20) and control (n = 45) groups. In addition, 30 healthy subjects were examined. Patients of the study group received drug therapy combined with intravenous blood or skin laser irradiation. Controls were treated with medicinal preparations alone. CP was diagnosed based on characteristic pain syndrome, compromised secretory function of the pancreas, results of laboratory and instrumental analysis. Microcirculation was studied by laser Doppler flowmetry with a LAKK-02 apparatus (Lazma, Russia). CP patients had heterogeneous microcirculation with a significantly increased frequency of its pathologic types (spastic, hyperemic, spastic-congestive). Major characteristics of microcirculation were significantly different from those in healthy subjects. Combination of drug therapy and LILT substantially improved microcirculation regardless of its hemodynamic type.

Abstract

The aim of the present investigation is to study the influence of low-intensity laser therapy at the aggregate function of erythrocytes in patients with chronic pancreatitis. 118 patients aged 36-77 years old were examined and divided into 2 groups: the experimental (73 patients) and the control group (45 patients). The experimental group has had a complex drug and laser therapy of various therapeutic techniques. Control group has had only drug therapy. In this study were found out various changes of aggregate properties of erythrocytes in patients with exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis. Was established normalizing effects of low-intensity laser therapy on erythrocytes aggregation in experimental group.

Platelet aggregatory properties in patients with chronic pancreatitis and possibilities of correcting their impairments.

The purpose of the investigation was to study the impact of low-intensity laser therapy (LILT) on platelet aggregatory properties in patients with chronic pancreatitis (CP) on an exacerbation. A total of 105 patients aged 36 to 77 years who were divided into a study group (n = 60) and a control one (n = 45) were examined. Thirty persons who formed a healthy group were additionally examined. In the study group patients, drug therapy was supplemented by LILT via various methods. The control group received only drug therapy. The investigation revealed that patients with CP on an exacerbation showed diverse changes in platelet aggregatory properties towards hyperaggregation. LILT was ascertained to have a normalizing effect on platelet aggregatory properties in the study group patients.

Parameters of lipid peroxidation and antioxidative protection in patients with chronic pancreatitis treated by low-intensity laser therapy.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of low-intensity laser therapy (LILT) on the processes of lipid peroxidation (LPO) and antioxidative protection (AOP) in patients with chronic pancreatitis. A total of 78 patients aged from 36 to 77 years were treated with LILT in addition to conventional therapy; the patients of the control group (n = 40) received only medicamentous therapy. Examination of the patients in the exacerbation phase of chronic pancreatitis revealed activation of LPO processes and differently-directed shifts of AOP components. These changes are supposed to reflect variations in the activity of the inflammatory processes in the pancreas and oxidative stress on this organ.

Correction of the gastric and duodenal motility by laser puncture in pancreatobiliary diseases.

96.7 percent of patients with affections of organs of the pancreatobiliary zone displayed motor function disorders of upper portions of the alimentary canal (AC). A characteristic sign of the pathological process in pancreatobiliary organs is decreased frequency of recordable biopotentials and qualitative changes in electrogastrogrames. Changes in qualitative characteristics of the electrogastrogram are clearly related to increase in the intraduodenal pressure recordable with the aid of the “open catheter” technique. Laseropuncture is an effective supplementary method for correction of motility disorders in the upper portions of AC in those patients presenting with affections of the pancreatobiliary organs.

Therapy of patients with chronic pancreatitis of alcoholic etiology by dalagrin and laser therapy of the blood.

Effectiveness of dalargin and intravenous laser blood beaming (ILBB) in combined treatment of chronic alcoholic pancreatitis (CAP) was studied in 105 patients (8 females and 97 males) with CAP duration 1 to 25 years. Pancreatic function and treatment effects were studied by routine clinical investigations, advanced laboratory, biochemical tests, radioimmunossays. Pancreatic disorders in alcoholics present with high blood levels of trypsin and lipase, low levels of insulin and C-peptide. Serum concentrations of hydrocortisone and gastrin were elevated. Combined treatment of CAP with adjuvant dalargin and ILBB not only relieves clinical symptoms but also promotes normalization of pancreatic function.
